This 80m super yacht had a cork galley floor that was slippery when wet and a laborious task to keep clean.

MPC were tasked with finding a suitable floor which would be hard wearing, slip resistant and easier to maintain. A range of different samples were provided with the ship deciding on the quartz system as it fulfills all the needs mentioned above and assists with dispersing heat from hot liquid spills.

We first removed all the cork, then bonded our pre-made skirting in place before laying the self leveling compound. Quartz was added to the rejection and sealed with a clear epoxy topcoat making the galley waterproof.
